This video is my take on the preparations, lead-up, and one of the toughest things I have ever attempted on a bike!

Bishop Training MTB Stage Race Boot Camp

Want to show up ready for your best performance at a major mountain bike stage race like, BCBR, Pisgah Stage Race, Trans-Sylvania Epic, Swiss Epic, or Breck Epic?

The Bishop Training Mountain Bike Stage Race Boot Camp is your chance to learn from the knowledge Jeremiah Bishop has gained from his years of racing as one of the most accomplished mountain bike stage racers in North America. With 14 stage race overall wins and podium performances at Cape Epic and Trans Alp, Jeremiah Bishop will share the keys to preparation that will allow you ride your best race – and have fun doing so.

This lab-style training weekend will be held parallel to the Tour de Pocahontas mountain bike stage race in Chesterfield, Virginia. Participants will learn from Jeremiah Bishop and coaches Mike Schultz, CSCS, CPT, and John Petrylak, USAC Cat 3 Coach.

Friday
On Friday morning the group will get acquainted and meet Bishop Training coaches before a 1.5-hour ride. Sandwich lunch will follow (included). Afternoon lectures and discussions will cover topics including: course overview for the Tour de Pocahontas, stage race pacing, feeding strategies, equipment and technical considerations, recovery and nutrition, stage race logistics and preparation considerations. Saturday
Saturday will include pre-race briefings and group warm-ups prior to racing Tour de Pocahontas Stages 1 and 2. A debriefing and discussion will follow Stage 2.
Dinner (included with Stage Race entry) as a group on site.

Sunday
Sunday will include a pre-race briefing and group warm-up prior to Stage 3. Upon completion of the stage, a post-race discussion, power file analysis, and assessment of stage race experience. Each rider will receive advice for what to focus on in support of their stage racing goals. Enjoy a closing toast and receive a swag bag.
