SNOW TIME!

Erin put the Christmas music on the snow is a flying we even got a Christmas present in the mail. I sure have the holiday feelings. Off to Grandma's tomorrow after a couple hrs of snow biking. I have the perfect spot in mind. Long run is a northern exposure and the ground is cold especially above 2500ft. FUN FUN>

I spent the better part of the day working on the bike and of course a 1 1/2 of PT and exercises and a little kick board action to get my Nordic ski moves warmed up.

I am having a hard time as usual deciding what to do this weeked. The UCI Capitol Cross race is this weekend. It would be tough passing on the only UCI race in VA.. Then again the snow is piling up at white grass and Chip Chaces eyes are probably like giant blue saucers with anticipation of a early opening. I know I am exited!!!!

There is a magic place up in those West Virginia mountains. It is a place call White Grass. It is a funky little place half Janes Addiction half Bethoven, a place where the lycra clad endurance junkies don' t just fitt in we are respected. Down home folks, awesome food and the excited, no nuts owner Chipper who buzzes when people from near and far flock to the secluded spot in the corner of the highest valley east of the Mississippi. If you are there at the right time you may get passed the clear jar of xxx fame, local moonshine that would melt a snowman.

Check it out but don't tell too many people so it remains the charming place it is. www.whitegrass.com

See ya at the little cabin.

Comments:
hope we get some good snow....
last year I was just getting bitten by the XC ski bug
the only problem
I have no clue how to ski
snowboarded for years
but have no idea how to ski
so even the open golf courses I get all sketched out
scared to go downhill
