Outer Banks
After an exhausting three weeks of travel and racing, Erin and I are here on Hatteras Island, 30 miles off the mainland coast of North Carolina. The outer banks, for those who don't know, are barrier islands... a euphemism for sand bars. It is a relaxing place that is surrounded by ocean and nothing else.
Today Erin, her Mom Michelle, her Dad (Gregg the "snake man") brother Josh and I went fishing twice and it was decent. Within two minutes, I caught a flounder! MMMM... Flounder. It was a shame both of the flounder and the blue fish I caught were too small to keep.
Oh well, there is always tomorrow.
The storm of le Tour is brewing on the horizon. This calm however is quite welcome.
