Trek Vdub in da House.
Our team pulled thru in a big way this week-end. Go team Trek VW.
Sue shocked some of the best riders in the biz by attacking shone with 2 to go for the stars and stripes. I attacked the short track like never before and smoked a 2nd place and worked some team tactics with Ross on his way to 4th. Travis won the USA marathon title with Chris in Silver. Rad Ross was bustin moves in the Super D and narrowly missed the top honor (Adam Criag defended). Bruce and Tamara both won there age groups!
In the XC I was up against the La lakers cycling team of Ryan Trebon and Wicks on a course that would be as good on golf cart as on your cross bike. Wow who would a thought Ryan and Barry would be US national Champions at CX and short track?
The big guys pulled some suburb road tactics but I was ready to pull out the game face untill I cramped like drunken orangutan.
Oh well 3rd is better than ever and I knew I could have won this one. Next year it is Mt Snow!! It's on!
Hunter gave some good pep talking this weekend and well all of his athletes did great! He had my mind turned on killing it in the short track even though my legs felt like panty hose full of mashed potatoes from Fridays cramps.
So now Erin and I will head back home for some good ice cream.
