Before Jeremiah left for Sedona, we talked about my upcoming birthday, I told him that I'd like to remain my current age from now to eternity; not too old, not too young. 'It's a great age, don't you think?' I asked sort of teasingly, knowing that Jeremiah often forgets his own age, and probably doesn't remember mine without thinking too hard about it.
Sure is, he said.
'You don't remember how old I am, do you Jeremiah?' I teased him.

You get no cake, unless you know age!
"Well... your racing age is 24, so you must be 23?"
'Are you asking or telling?'
"Um....
Now I was laughing so hard.
'You don't know!' And I kept laughing. Poor Jeremiah, I think I really embarassed him.
I consider myself fortunate. Afterall, most women have to wait at least until mid-life before thier husbands begin to forget their ages, and they can start lying to the world about it themselves.
So, now I'm 23.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Having a kung fu kick-ass birthday,
Erin
I know what you are thinking. "I thought Erin was retired? Just how does she qualify for Spring Break?"

Well, when I finally nail down accommodations in Fort William, Scotland... that's when I'll qualify for Spring Break!
"Fort William is recognised by the UCI as a venue for mountain bike events that consistently draws large, very supportive and enthusiastic crowds from all over the UK and the rest of the world. It is anticipated that the World Championships will attract more than 40,000 spectators on the key days of competition."
That's 40,000 people in direct competition for lodging. Without giving away any secrets, we are in the final stages of narrowing our selections to a single winner. Whew!
So, Spring Break. Unlike last year, I will not be
jeering at Filip from the shady comfort of my very own Carribean palm. This year, I rejoin the other ladies in my family for our annual "Chick Week" at Hatteras.
Our deck is ready and waiting, the only things
missing from this picture are the Chicks!
Let the countdown begin!
