The sun traces low across the sky. Pineneedles crunch below wheels. Muddy tracks and grippy road. “Bear trap farm?”.. we had barely enough time. “Sure I said” But I am glad I said yes.

Silence is underrated… 🤫. In absence of noise

Silence is underrated… 🤫. In absence of noise you can hear the twigs and snow crunch and yawn underfoot ❄️🪾 whispering wind and and the call of woodpeckers and hawks stand out so much when all else is quiet. Last week was feild work flagging the GIS plan for a new trail retreat called Ravens Rocks. I joined the Nature trails team and spent 4 and a half days hiking thru snow on the side of Pine Mountain in eastern Kentucky. It was tough but somehow left my cup more full than empty.
I can’t wait to see this world class trail system come to life. #mountainbike #trails #kentucky
